The mission of the International Festival of Owls is to:

- spark a personal connection to owls and the environments we share with them

- provide financial support for the Houston Nature Center

- stimulate tourism in the Houston area.

MEDALLION HUNT RULES

  • The Medallion will be hidden on public land in the City of Houston.

  • It can be found without trespassing, damaging or defacing land or property or otherwise violating any laws. (For example, Houston city parks are closed by ordinance from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

  • The Medallion is not metallic to avoid the advantage of metal-detection equipment.

  • Clues will be posted hourly at the festival until the Medallion is found.

There is a $100 cash prize for finding the Medallion
