Get to know the birds, natural history, and the geology of the Houston area better on this Sunday morning bus trip. Dan Jackson, your birding guide, will show you the birds of the area. With a lot of luck you might also get to see a Great Horned Owl nest or a roosting Eastern Screech-Owl. Tim Weisbrod, NRCS state geologist for MN and WI, will talk about the interesting geology of the area. Lifelong Houston resident Brian Lee will highlight other natural history of the area in between birds and geology. The bus is not handicapped accessible and participants will get on and off the bus in multiple locations. Bus leaves from the Houston Nature Center.
