Among the most popular activities at the Festival are our live owl programs. Owl programs in 2026 will be presented by the Illinois Raptor Center from Decatur, IL.
The Illinois Raptor Center will bring Snowy, Great Horned, Barred, possible Short-eared, 3 colors of Eastern Screech-, and American Barn Owls.
Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 9:30 and 3:00
Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 9:30 and 12:30
Houston High School
There will also be 20-minute "meet an owl" programs at the International Owl Center with the Center's own owls. Please note that seating is VERY limited for these programs, and it is likely not everyone will be able to sit. There may not even be room for everyone willing to stand. (This is why we are working on building a new facility, so please bear with us a couple more years until we can get the space we need in a new facility.)
No pre-registration necessary, but an admission wristband is required.
